Amazon Prime Day is infamously one of the best shopping days of the year. In nearly every category, you can find deals from the largest online retailer in the world. This year Prime Day will run for two days – October 13th and 14th. This is a nice little reprieve from everything 2020 has thrown at us. And the best part for smart home enthusiasts? Amazon is really trying to move some big numbers on their services this year. They’ve deeply discounted most of them, with a few even being almost free. You just have to make sure to cancel the subscriptions before the promotional period ends if you’re not using them. Here’s a rundown of some of the biggest discounts.

The family plan for Kids+ normally runs $9.99 per month, but Amazon is running a special leading up to Prime day where you can get 3 months for 99 cents.

Add-free music with the ability to listen off-line, in addition to supporting your favorite podcast. To be honest, it’s hard to go wrong with this one at the free or near-free price point. If you like it, you can keep the subscription going. But if you’re not using it, be sure to cancel before the promotional period ends.
Kindle Unlimited: 30 Day Free Trial or 6 months for $47.86
The subscription is normally $9.99/month. Note that you don’t need a kindle device – with the Kindle app, this will work on pretty much any smart device.
$50 off Audible 12 month Subscription
It’s $50 off until Prime Day, making the price $99.50 for the year. And yes, you can give the subscription as a gift.

I personally have the High-Back Leather Executive chair, and it’s held up pretty well. Just wish I would have gotten the Early Prime Day discount. “The Big Fall Sale”
In addition to the Prime Day Deals, Amazon is running “The Big Fall Sale”. It’s a variation on their flash sales, with a larger selection and bigger discounts. Being a flash-type sale, you have to watch for deals when they pop up. But you can sort the sales to show you upcoming ones and add them to your cart, so you know where to look when the sale starts!
